Robert De Mario is the Artist of the Month

Graphic Artist Robert De Mario is the library's Artist of the Month. Mr. De Mario grew up in New York, studied to be an illustrator at the New York Phoenix School of Design, earned a BA in Fine Arts from the College of New Rochelle, and now resides in New Hampshire.

He worked in the commercial advertising field for many years, and has had many of his designs used on mass market products, such as greeting cards, paper products, flags and banners, bar ware and linens.

For the past three years, Mr. De Mario has been executing house and commercial portraits for various local business clients. His specialty is three-dimensional cut-paper technique in a collage format, based on a photograph chosen by the client.

Several of his cut-paper works, as well as several wood sculptures are on display at the library now through the month of October.
